Biography
Miteau Butskhrikidze is a lawyer in our litigation and disputes group in Ottawa. He provides legal advice and representation to corporate and institutional clients in a wide variety of industries, including transportation, construction, insurance, and consumer markets.
Miteau’s broad practice includes advising clients in civil and commercial disputes, as well as administrative proceedings, judicial review of public decisions, and appeals. He deals with various legal issues, namely contract and supply chain disputes, civil and professional liability, procurement inquiries, regulatory compliance, including environmental laws, privacy and access to information issues, and language rights.
Miteau articled in our Ottawa office in 2023-24. Before joining us, Miteau worked at the House of Commons, where he supported members of Parliament and senior parliamentary executives. While in law school, Miteau was editor-in-chief of the Ottawa Law Review, won a first-place award at the Laskin Moot Competition and earned the University Silver Medal.
