Andréane Giguère
Biography
Andréane Giguère advises employers under provincial and federal jurisdiction in matters of individual and collective labour relations. She represents them before labour and employment tribunals, including the Administrative Labour Tribunal, the Canada Industrial Relations Board, grievance arbitrators, the Human Rights Tribunal and civil courts, including the Quebec Court of Appeal.
She is particularly interested in issues relating to interpreting and applying collective agreements, labour standards, the union certification process, unionized and non-unionized labour in the context of mergers, acquisitions and corporate restructuring, labour disputes, privacy, human rights and freedoms, and preventing harassment and discrimination in the workplace.
She is also a lecturer at Université Laval's Faculty of Law, where she teaches a course on freedom of association and collective representation in the workplace.
