Nicholas is a shipping finance lawyer based in London.

Nicholas has experience in a wide range of international shipping transactions, including syndicated financings, ECA-backed facilities (Korea, China, Norway, Denmark), sale and leaseback transactions and loan portfolio transfers, representing financial institutions, investment companies and shipowners. In addition to his experience in the financing of a broad range of new-build and second-hand vessels, Nicholas has advised on a number of major debt restructurings and distressed debt scenarios in both the shipping and offshore sectors – he works closely with the firm's restructuring and insolvency practice.

He also has experience advising on commercial shipping matters, including shipbuilding contracts, long-term charters and sale and purchase and has been involved in numerous public and private cross-border acquisitions as well as joint ventures in the shipping sector.
