Biography
Juliette Kelly is a real estate lawyer based in London. She has a wide-ranging commercial real estate practice encompassing investment, development and financing (both conventional and Islamic financing). Juliette acts for a number of institutional lenders, real estate funds (particularly within the energy and social housing sectors) and developers.
Juliette has acted on a large number of notable and complex mixed-use developments and, in particular, she spent 19 months on secondment acting as in-house project legal adviser for the redevelopment of the Old War Office in Whitehall, London from former government offices into a Raffles hotel and luxury residential apartments.

- the owner on real estate and hotels aspects of the Old War Office in Whitehall, London from former government offices into a Raffles hotel and 85 luxury residential apartments including advice in respect of the operating, technical services and residential management agreements.
- a joint venture of institutional investors in respect of pre-lettings for restaurant and hospitality premises forming part of the redevelopment of Olympia London.
- DP World on the redevelopment and letting of the London Gateway Port and Logistics Park, a £1.5 billion world class container port and logistics park covering over 2,500 acres in Thurrock, Essex.
- on the acquisition of sites for a proposed mixed-use development in Worcestershire as well as interim lettings and financing during the planning stages.
- Civitas Investment Management on the acquisition of a large number of portfolios of specialised supported living accommodation and residential care properties on behalf of a well known Hong Kong investor.
- two large corporate occupiers on the regearing of their premises in the Leadenhall building.
- Bank of London and the Middle East Plc on the real estate aspects of the syndicated Islamic financing of The Collective, Harrow, North London, a build to rent development scheme for people who want to live long-term in serviced accommodation.
- Royal Bank of Scotland plc, BNP Paribas, Crédit Agricole, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and Société Générale on the refinancing of the 2.4m sq ft Liverpool ONE shopping centre owned by Grosvenor Liverpool Fund.
- Bank ABC on the development financing of a number of London-based luxury residential developments including a Grade 1 listed building and development at Regents Crescent, London.
- TotalEnergies on the UK real estate aspects of its acquisition of Blue Point London Ltd, London’s largest electric vehicle charging points network from Bolloré Group.
- Gore Street Energy Storage Fund on its acquisitions of various portfolios of battery storage projects and solar farms together with providing ongoing advice on the development and operation of such sites.
- Quinbrook on its landmark acquisition of a consented 350MW solar and battery storage project in Kent.
- on the real estate aspects of the development and project financing of a biomass project providing heat and energy to an animal by products rendering facility and exporting surplus energy to grid.
- Orsted on the land rights and various commercial contracts in respect of its Renescience plant (waste to energy) in Northwich, Cheshire.
- a private fund on the real estate aspects of acquisitions of gas fired generation projects with carbon capture and reuse facilities during the development phase.
