Biography
Alex Green is a corporate lawyer based in London focused on listed company work, including IPOs and secondary equity capital raisings as well as M&A and general corporate finance transactions. Alex has completed secondments at both Deutsche Bank and HSBC in London and is listed as a key lawyer for Equity Capital Markets: mid-large cap in Legal 500.
Alex regularly advises issuers and investment banks on equity capital markets and sponsor transactions. He also has extensive experience in private M&A, joint ventures and corporate governance matters. He regularly assists listed companies with their continuing and disclosure obligations under the Listing Rules, the Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules, the Market Abuse Regulation and the Corporate Governance Code.
Alex has experience across a number of industry sectors including financial institutions, investment funds, energy, infrastructure and resources, technology and real estate.

- Advised Dar Global PLC on its direct listing on the London Stock Exchange, involving entry into detailed separation and relationship arrangements with its Saudi listed parent Dar Al Arkan Real Estate, a private placement and direct listing on the Main Market
- Advised Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley in relation to the US$500 million IPO and standard listing of Landscape Acquisition Holdings Limited, a special purpose acquisition company, and Credit Suisse as capital markets adviser on its subsequent reverse takeover of AP WIP Investments Holdings
- Advised Deutsche Bank as sponsor and global co-ordinator, and a syndicate of banks as joint bookrunners, on the proposed IPO and premium listing of Welkin China Private Equity Limited on the London Stock Exchange
- Advised Investec as sponsor and global co-ordinator on the IPO and premium listing of Stelrad Group PLC on the LSE
- Advised Barclays PLC on the US$2.5 billion Class 1 disposal of its interests in JSE listed ABSA Group (formerly Barclays Africa) and subsequent accelerated bookbuild placings of over £1 billion in ABSA shares
- Advised La Mancha Resources as major shareholder on the £4 billion premium listing of Endeavour Mining plc
- Advised premium listed Petropavlovsk PLC on its $235 million rights issue and related debt restructuring
