Biography
Jeff Cody is Norton Rose Fulbright's Global Managing Partner, the firm's US Managing Partner, the Chair of the US Management Committee, the Co-Chair of the Global Management Committee and a member of its Global Executive Committee.
Jeff, who previously served as US Chief Administrative Partner, is responsible for the firm's operations and strategy. He represents clients in complex commercial disputes in the healthcare, financial and information technology industries.
Jeff has substantial experience in disputes involving healthcare reimbursement matters, complex stock and asset purchase and sale agreements, limited partnership agreements and information systems development projects.
He has appeared in numerous commercial arbitrations before the American Arbitration Association and FINRA. Jeff has also appeared in federal and state courts in more than 17 jurisdictions, including Texas, Oklahoma, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts and Arizona.

His recent significant cases include:
- Successfully represented a large hospital system in obtaining a $3.5 million judgment against a third party administrator arising from a health care reimbursement dispute; judgment was affirmed by GPA Holding, Inc. v. Baylor Health Care System, 344 S.W.3d 467 (Tex.App.--Dallas, 2011, pet. denied)
- Successfully represented a large hospital system in obtaining arbitration awards against two preferred provider networks
- Successfully represented a hospital development company in a complex dispute involving ownership and governance of a limited liability partnership
- Obtaining substantial monetary arbitration awards for a non-profit hospital system arising from reimbursement disputes with third-party administrators and health insurers
- Successfully represented a large hospital system in more than sixty health care reimbursement actions against insurers, third-party administrators and PPO networks
- Successfully represented a surgical joint venture in a fraud and breach of contract action
- Successfully represented a Medicare Advantage Plan in a misappropriation of trade secrets action
- Successfully represented a diagnostic instrument manufacturer in more than sixty actions pending throughout the United States
- Successfully represented a non-profit hospital system in a complex construction arbitration
- Obtaining a take-nothing arbitration award for a broker-dealer involving allegations of fraud, churning and unauthorized trading
- Obtaining a take-nothing judgment for a large energy company involving allegations of fraud and breach of contract arising out of the sale of a manufacturing facility; judgment was affirmed on appeal in Trinity Industries, Inc. v. Ashland, Inc., 53 S.W.3d 852 (Tex.App.--Austin, 2001, pet. denied)
