Biography
Jerry Li is energy and infrastructure lawyer based in Beijing.
Jerry has 20 years' experience in the energy, resource and infrastructure industries, including oil & gas, chemicals, mining, power, renewable, transportation, road and bridge, port and pipeline.
His experience includes corporate, M&A, E&P concessions, PPP, project financing, international credit facility, oilfield service, offshore operations, EPCC turnkey and trading sectors.
During his career, Jerry managed and supervised certain legal affairs of China's largest national oil and gas company. He has advised clients on international business development and execution, transactional structuring, documentation, negotiation and operation. Jerry has been involved in more than 800 projects located in more than 70 countries around the world.
Prior to joining the firm, Jerry worked in another international law firm for almost nine years, leading its Beijing office, and represented numerous Chinese and international clients on international energy and infrastructure projects.

- Chinese oil companies - on acquisitions of assets in numerous countries including Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Trinidad, Ecuador, Algeria, Iraq, Egypt, Yemen and Oman, etc.
- The developer - on joint venture matters and an EPC project related to an oil storage and export terminal in Indonesia.
- On the $1bn strategic fabrication joint venture transaction between Fluor and CNOOC, specializing in offshore engineering and fabrication.
- On the structuring and development of the financed Early Phase Gas Infrastructure EPCC project for Ghana National Gas Company in Ghana, with Buyer's Credit financial arrangement.
- On the development of the first Comprehensive Services Contract for Oilfield Optimization and Development with PEMEX in Mexico.
- A number of clients - on LNG project development, LNG SPAs and MSAs, etc.
- Gezhouba - on the consortium agreement and the EPC+O&M contract for a $4.3bn hydropower project in Argentina.
- CWE - on its acquisition of certain hydropower projects in Chile.
- China LongYuan Power - on its acquisition of a 947 MW wind power project in the US.
- ICBC and BOC - on their credit facility agreements and term loan transactions in Ghana.
