Cathy Morales Frénoy

Biography

Cathy Morales Frenoy is an environmental lawyer based in Paris. She has long and wide-ranging experiences of advising companies on environmental, industrial and public law.

Cathy advises clients in environmental law matters, particularly on issues related to polluted sites and soils, classified installations (ICPE), waste and circular economy, chemicals products, REACH and POP regulations, Pfas and nanoparticles, as well as biodiversity, agrivoltaics and on CSR and HSE issues.

She focuses on matters such as polluted sites and soils, and the sales and rehabilitation of industrial sites. Cathy has extensive knowledge of permitting procedures, for example: authorisation to occupy the public domain, building permits, classified installation authorisation, water law and derogation for protected species.

In addition, she has an in-depth knowledge of animal law with the writing of the book "Le droit animal" (ed. l'Harmattan, 2017) and the participation in various seminars and conferences.

Cathy has professional experiences in several countries such as China, Spain, the USA and France.

She was admitted to the New York bar in 2013 and to the Paris bar in 2018, before joining a law firm specialising in environmental law, where she worked for seven years, and joined us in March 2021.

Cathy holds a master degree in international and European law from the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne, a master degree in sustainable development and environmental law from the Institut Catholique de Paris and a master of laws (LLM) in environmental law and natural resources from Lewis & Clark, USA.

Cathy speaks French, English and Spanish.
