Biography

Chris Bell is a corporate lawyer based in Singapore. He acts on M&A and investment transactions for clients operating in a range of sectors and geographies, including the energy sector in Asia Pacific.

Chris trained with Norton Rose Fulbright and joined the corporate team in London as an associate upon qualification. He was responsible for running what became Norton Rose Fulbright's Newcastle office in its infancy in 2015 and 2016, moving to Singapore in 2017, and has spent time on client secondments.

  • On a USD 35m investment by The Investment Fund for Developing Countries (IFU), a leader of impactful investments, in Blue Planet Environmental Solutions Pte. Ltd., a sustainable waste management company with operations in India, South-East Asia, and the UK.
  • An international leader in renewable energy on its acquisition of an entity seeking to develop an offshore wind farm project off of the coast of Taiwan from a US private equity firm.
  • InterContinental Energy on bp's entry into the Asian Renewable Energy Hub (also known as the AREH project). The Asian Renewable Energy Hub is the world's largest renewables and green hydrogen energy hub with 26GW of renewable energy planned for the Pilbara region of Western Australia. 
  • ENGIE on its joint ventures with ComfortDelGro relating to electric vehicle charging in Singapore and solar energy in Singapore.
