Biography
Veronica Pinotti is a competition and regulatory lawyer based in Milan.
She has 30 years of experience in EU competition and regulatory law, including data privacy interplay. She advises clients before the European Commission and national authorities on joint ventures, mergers, acquisitions, distribution networks, cartels, dominance abuse, state aid, and regulated markets. Veronica offers strategic advice, manages antitrust audits, risk assessments, and handles consumer protection, unfair competition, misleading advertising, and potential criminal aspects.
She is ranked in Band 3 in Competition European law by Chambers & Partners Europe 2024 and has been included in the Hall of Fame of the most influential lawyers in EU and Competition by The Legal 500 2024. According to Chambers & Partners Europe, “She is an experienced professional and proactive in finding the best solution for the client.” Veronica received Lexology’s 2024 Client Choice Award for her work in Competition. She is also recommended by Global Competition Review’s GCR 100 country survey on Italy and has been recognized by the Italian legal publication TopLegal as one of the most influential Italian lawyers under 50. Veronica was awarded “Best Woman Professional of the Year” by the same publication in 2015 for being a notable competition and regulatory lawyer. Additionally, she was included in Women in Business Law Guide, 10th Edition, published by Legal Media Group in 2020.
Veronica is a lecturer in Antitrust and Market Regulation at the University of Rome Tor Vergata (Master’s Degree) and in International Business at the University of Milan Cattolica (Master’s Degree).
