Biography
Lauren Archibald is developing a broad practice in business law, including securities, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate matters.
Lauren joined us as a summer student in 2021 and completed her articles in 2022-2023. During her articles, Lauren completed a secondment in the legal department of the Royal Bank of Canada, where she gained valuable experience working on a variety of corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters.
During her law degree, Lauren played for her university's varsity field hockey team and was an editor of the University of London - Queen Mary Human Rights Law Review. Upon her law school graduation, Lauren received the Principal's Prize for outstanding academic achievement, the Cultural Diversity & the Law Prize, and the Law Review Prize. In addition, Lauren has received an LLM from the University of Cambridge with a specialization in commercial law. While completing her LLM, Lauren played for the University of Cambridge's varsity women's ice hockey team, was a member of the Lucy Cavendish College student council, and was selected to the British Universities Ice Hockey Association's International All Stars Ice Hockey Team. Lauren also completed legal internships in Singapore, Cyprus, and England.
