Biography
Ruth Wahl has particular responsibility for legal research in all areas of our Canadian common law practice. She is chair of our research team, which conducts research in both civil and common law. She prepares opinions and provides advice to our clients and lawyers, and also prepares legal arguments for significant litigation.
Ms. Wahl has extensive experience advising corporations, insolvency representatives, financial institutions, and regulatory and other public entities on a broad range of legal issues. She has participated in major transactions and litigation, including restructuring, bankruptcy and receivership proceedings, transnational litigation, financings, development of new derivative products, mergers and acquisitions, pension surplus litigation, privatizations and commercial arbitrations.
