She also has impressive expertise across the technology, energy, pharmaceuticals, consumer goods and manufacturing sectors.

Alex's appointment forms part of the ongoing expansion of Norton Rose Fulbright’s leading Brussels antitrust and competition practice, further consolidating its top-tier reputation in the market.

Ian Giles, head of antitrust and competition, Europe, Middle East and Asia, at Norton Rose Fulbright, said:

“This is an exciting period for antitrust and competition, with a huge amount of ongoing regulatory activity. Our highly experienced Brussels team continues to thrive and will be strengthened even further through Miranda’s leadership, as the new head of office, and the joining of Alex as partner.”

Peter Scott, managing partner for Europe, Middle East and Asia at Norton Rose Fulbright, said:

“Since joining us earlier this year, Miranda has brought strong and dynamic leadership to our Brussels office. With Alex’s arrival, we are now focused on further developing the impressive capabilities of our Brussels office to serve clients across our global network.”

Miranda said:

“It’s a huge honour to be asked to head up the Brussels office during a period in which the practice is going from strength to strength. Since joining the firm earlier this year, I’ve been extremely impressed by the breadth of expertise and talent, and the enthusiasm and focus of the team, and I greatly look forward to working with colleagues – both here and in our 50 plus offices around the globe – to support the continued growth of the Brussels practice.

“I am also delighted to welcome Alex to the antitrust and competition team. She brings with her impressive experience and skills, which will be invaluable as we continue to develop and expand our existing offering and services to our clients.”

Alex said:

“I am thrilled to be joining Norton Rose Fulbright’s antitrust and competition practice in Brussels. I have long been an admirer of the firm, for both its work and its culture, and look forward to the opportunities provided by practising in such a global, multi-faceted team.”
