Biography

Robert is a Senior Legal Project Manager based in Sydney.

He has previously worked closely with dispute resolution, class action, construction and royal commission teams as a legal project manager. Robert is legally trained with over 10 years' experience in a litigation practice prior to moving into legal project management and has the necessary skills to drive and deliver efficiencies across all types of legal matters.

Robert is passionate about developing strategic solutions and work processes that assist the efficient delivery of legal services through coordinating communication and information channels. Robert has a deep understanding of the complexities and sensitivities involved in large litigation and public inquiries including large-scale matters requiring substantial document collection, review and evidence management.

Robert's experience brings a unique and valuable approach to his role combining legal expertise and practical project management techniques to manage scope, timelines, budgets and coordinate project activities to ensure effective delivery. Robert works closely with our lawyers and business service teams, including finance, knowledge and technology, to ensure he provides internal and external stakeholders with proactive and structured solutions.

  • Project Manager to the legal team assisting in the Royal Commission into Defence & Veteran Suicide.
  • Designing and building process maps and workflows in a multi-million dollar construction dispute including detailed discovery protocols.
  • Managing multiple concurrent NSW Supreme Court and Federal Court proceedings for various financial services class actions.
  • Managing the due diligence process for the sale of a major infrastructure assets and coordinating reporting requirements.
  • Regularly involved in preparing detailed work breakdown structures as well as monitoring of the fee estimate and various tracking reports for a number of litigation matters.
  • Developed matter specific progress and status reports for a number of construction, litigation and transactional matters.
  • Supporting the communication channels of both internal and external stakeholders in both litigated and non-litigated matters as well as being the key contact for third party vendors.
  • Coordinating logistical support and assisting the escalation of decision making protocols.
