Biography
Brittany Covert is an environmental and energy disputes associate practicing in the Houston office. Brittany has represented upstream and midstream companies, refineries and chemical plants in various high stakes disputes and regulatory proceedings. Brittany's litigation experience ranges from pre-suit investigation through appeal. In addition, Brittany has developed significant experience responding to catastrophic industrial accidents, including responding to explosions, fires, fatalities and environmental releases at multiple petrochemical plants, fuels facilities and other industrial manufacturing plants. She has defended various governmental enforcement and civil actions brought by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ), Department of Justice (DOJ), Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
