Biography
Alan Skerritt is a corporate lawyer based in London.
Alan is experienced in advising leading US, European and Asian-headquartered investment managers on open and closed-ended fund formation, capital-raising, restructuring and operational matters in the real estate, private equity, venture capital, infrastructure and real estate debt sectors, and on related co-investment, joint venture and carried interest structures. Alan is also experienced in advising investors (including sovereign wealth funds) on the deployment of capital into similar structures.
Before joining the firm, Alan was a member of funds groups at other international law firms.

- NREP (now part of Urban Partners) on the establishment and operation of its flagship multi strategy real estate funds: NSF II, NSF III and NSF IV as well as the Nordic Real Estate Fund and the NREP Logistics Property Fund and on related co-investment terms. *
- A North American asset manager on the establishment of a European real estate fund which raised €250m. *
- A global real estate fund manager on the formation and operation of a €450m value-add European real estate fund as well as on other US and Asian real estate fundraisings and related co-investments. *
- An ESG/Impact investment manager on the establishment of two of its ESG/Impact-focused funds, the negotiation of terms with the funds’ cornerstone investor and on the terms of its carried interest scheme. *
- A sovereign wealth fund on its investments into a range of closed-ended funds and co-investments in various asset classes, including private equity and real estate. *
