Biography
Mathieu Canuel is a lawyer in the employment and labour law group in the Montréal office. In this capacity, he advises and represents employers under provincial and federal jurisdiction, in both unionized and non-unionized environments. His practice focuses on various aspects of employment and labour law, including hiring, termination, labour standards, occupational health and safety, human rights and freedoms, and the interpretation and application of employment contracts and collective agreements.
During his studies, Mr. Canuel had the opportunity to take part in several projects that enhanced his training. In particular, he acted as a research assistant in administrative and constitutional law for professors at the University of Montreal, and as part of an internship lasting several months, he also had the opportunity to act as a research assistant for the Honourable Martin Vauclair of the Quebec Court of Appeal.
Since joining the firm, Mr. Canuel has been seconded to the legal department of a major company in the security sector.
