Biography

Benita Ikpo is a lawyer in our litigation and disputes team in Calgary. Benita has a wide variety of interests and regularly assists clients with matters including construction law, aboriginal law, general commercial litigation, energy disputes and employment law.

Benita is an ambassador for Impact, our firm's community giving and volunteering initiative. She also volunteers in the Pro Bono Law Alberta program and actively seeks out opportunities to be involved in access to justice programs.

Benita joined our litigation group as a legal assistant in 2019. She transitioned into an articling student role in 2021 and completed her articles with us in 2022.

Prior to joining us, Benita taught law courses at a college in Calgary. Before that, she worked as an in-house counsel with one of Nigeria's largest suppliers of heavy-duty electrical equipment.
