Biography
Francesca North is a derivatives and structured finance lawyer based in Dubai. Prior to working in our Dubai office, Francesca spent five years working in the Singapore office.
Francesca was named as a “Rising Star” in Capital Markets: Structured Finance, Derivatives and Securitisation in the 2024 Legal 500 Asia Pacific guide.
She has experience of a broad range of capital markets transactions, with a particular focus on both conventional and Islamic OTC derivatives, structured products and structured finance transactions. Francesca trained at the firm in our London office.

- Senior and equity bridge hedging banks on hedging arrangements for a gas fired project located in the Middle East
- A hedging syndicate of seven banks in relation to hedging of the financing for an FPSO
- A senior hedging bank and equity bridge loan hedging banks on the secured interest rate swaps to be provided to project finance borrowers for the development of a wastewater treatment plant in Saudi Arabia
- A hedging syndicate on the financing of a desalination water plant based in Umm al-Quwain, United Arab Emirates
- Hedging banks on the conventional and Islamic hedging arrangements for the refinancing of three cogeneration plants based in the Middle East
- Hedging syndicates of up to 14 banks on hedging the financings for the supply, charter and operation of various FPSOs and all inter-bank arrangements
