Biography
Jiang has a PhD degree in Electronics and Applied Physics and litigates complex matters involving a wide variety of technologies. Jiang's patent litigation experience encompasses offensive and defensive proceedings on behalf of domestic and foreign clients in the federal courts, the International Trade Commission (ITC) and the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). He has hands-on experience in all stages of litigation from pre-suit diligence and investigation to trial and post-trial briefing. Jiang has litigated patents in Section 337 investigations in the ITC on behalf of clients in various industries, including a leading LCD manufacturer, a semiconductor company and a smart phone company.
Jiang routinely helps clients with IP due diligence investigations and provides counseling on strategic intellectual property asset management with the goal of maximizing value of their clients' technology. Jiang also has in-house experience in handling intellectual property matters involving a wide range of technologies including display technologies (LCD and LED displays), software, data storage technologies (MRAM and STT-RAM), imaging technologies (image sensor and digital camera), energy and material technologies (Li-ion batteries and smart grid), medical devices and semiconductor devices and processes in one of the world's largest consumer electronics companies.
Jiang is also licensed to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office. He has experience in ex parte prosecution, as well as post-grant proceedings, including inter partes review (IPRs) before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) of the US Patent and Trademark Office.
