Biography
Tim Carlton is a trusted advisor to a range of clients, from publicly traded Fortune 100 companies to privately held enterprises, on all aspects of technology and commercial arrangements. Tim's clients span various industries, including the financial services, hospitality, restaurant, manufacturing, consumer products, marketing and technology industries.
Tim's practice focuses on information technology and business process outsourcing transactions, digital transformations, cloud and software-as-a-service agreements, software license agreements, core system implementations and integrations, payment services, artificial intelligence, automation and other technology-enabled transactions.
He also has considerable experience advising clients on other commercial agreements related to clients' operations and procurement functions, including marketing and advertising services, warehousing services, equipment leases, partnerships, distributorships and supply agreements.
Tim provides guidance on legal, operational and financial aspects of his clients' from bid preparation through contract negotiation, governance and disengagement. He also assists clients with improving and optimizing their internal commercial contracting processes, including developing, implementing and maintaining templates, playbooks and contract management systems.
Before starting his career in law, Tim was a software engineer.
