Biography
Tammy Heydenrych is a legal operations consultant based in London.
She is part of a team providing a range of strategic and advisory services to clients, including advising in-house legal teams on how they can support the wider objectives of their business and helping to set priorities and a practical vision for programs and initiatives that would support this; advising on the management of legal operations functions, including best practice legal project management; and assisting in the delivery of specific projects or mandates made up of work likely to be delivered with the involvement of, or at the request of, a legal operations team.
Tammy was formerly the group company secretary and senior legal advisor for a global insurance company's Southern African operations. She was responsible for delivering a number of strategic projects within both the Legal and Compliance function and across the wider business, including mergers and acquisitions, a stock exchange delisting and various business improvement initiatives such as the redesign of the group's corporate governance processes and structures, and the implementation of a contract management solution.
Prior to that role, Tammy was a litigation and commercial lawyer practising across areas such as insurance, banking and constitutional law, representing the interests of political parties, government departments and corporate entities.
With more than 17 years' experience within professional services, corporate and start up environments, Tammy has extensive capabilities in stakeholder management, strategy formulation, operational design and delivering business transformation and change management projects.
In addition to being an admitted Attorney, Tammy holds an MBA, is a Chartered Company Secretary and PMI certified Project Manager.

- Helped a global banking group as part of a cross functional team to develop their global legal technology strategy.
- Provided strategic advisory support with respect to a panel refresh for a global banking group.
- Worked with a fast growing start up in the payments space to conduct a skills mapping exercise and redesign their legal team's organisation structure and collaboration framework to support the company's transition to a regional business model.
