We advise Squadron Energy on Uungula Wind Farm project in NSW

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Squadron Energy (formerly CWP Renewables) on the development of Uungula Wind Farm, a 414MW project located near Wellington, NSW.

The wind farm is underwritten by a power purchase agreement with Snowy Hydro for 75 per cent of its generation and environmental benefits, and a long-term energy services agreement with the NSW Government. The project has now reached financial close.

Since the inception of the project, Norton Rose Fulbright has been lead external legal counsel, advising on the environment and planning, native title and cultural heritage, offtake and revenue, connection and procurement workstreams. 

The firm has supported Squadron Energy in overcoming challenges facing all large-scale renewable energy projects in the current procurement, regulatory and economic environment. The financial close of Uungula Wind Farm continues the successful partnership between Squadron Energy and Norton Rose Fulbright, having previously worked together to deliver Bango Wind Farm (244MW), Crudine Ridge Wind Farm (134MW) and Sapphire Wind Farm (270MW).
