Biography
Mark Daniels is a senior knowledge lawyer in our antitrust, competition and regulatory practice in London.
Mark's experience includes advising clients on competition compliance issues, international cartel investigations and multi-jurisdictional merger control filings. He has helped clients secure immunity and leniency, agree commitments and submit complaints to the European Commission and authorities in the UK and elsewhere. He has also advised on various M&A deals, preparing notifications and helping clients achieve merger control clearances in the UK, EU, Asia and Africa. Mark's sector experience includes: transport; retail; financial services; energy; mining and healthcare.
From September 2009 to February 2010, Mark spent five months on secondment at the UK's Office of Fair Trading. He was also seconded to our antitrust, competition and regulatory team in Hong Kong for a year in late 2007.
Mark read Law with European Law at the University of Nottingham, UK and studied at Utrecht University in The Netherlands. He trained with us and qualified into the practice's antitrust, competition and regulatory group in 2005.
Mark rejoined the firm in January 2018 after spending two years at one of the UK's concurrent sector regulators.
