Biography
Rohan is a technology lawyer based in Johannesburg. He focusses on information technology, telecommunications and media, e-commerce and privacy.
He acts for a wide range of local and foreign clients, advising them on all aspects of information and communication technology, e-commerce, broadcasting and privacy. Rohan has been involved in a large number of information technology related transactions in the past ten years including multi-billion rand outsourcing and IT infrastructure projects for service providers to the Department of Labour, Department of Home Affairs and the South African Social Security Agency. He also has a great deal of experience in IT systems implementation projects, acting regularly for both customers and service providers. Rohan has done a great deal of work in the data protection and privacy spheres, with a varied local and international client base.
He joined our Sandton office in 1992 and was admitted as an attorney in 1994. He was appointed as a director in January 1998. His initial career was in the field of professional indemnity, in commercial and insurance related litigation. In 2000 he moved to the Commercial Department to head up the information and communications technology division in the Sandton office.
