Webinar
Global | December 15, 2021Chinese data protection and evidence-collection rules require special attention and the last few months have only seen these rules grow more complex. Following the China Cybersecurity Law (CSL) enacted in 2016 and the Judicial Assistance Law enacted in 2018, there is now a new Data Security Law (DSL) that came into effect on September 1, 2021 and the much-anticipated Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL) that came into effect on November 1, 2021. The PIPL is China's first comprehensive data protection law and is expected to significantly alter the way multinational companies collect, process, store and transfer personal data in mainland China.
Please join Norton Rose Fulbright for a discussion regarding the immediate impact of these new rules, the shift in how multinational companies need to carry out internal and external investigations and cross-border litigation in China and how those changes can be practically implemented.
This will be the 4th session in our China data law series. If you are interested in viewing the previous webinars, please click on the links below.
