Biography
Charles advises clients on both contentious and non-contentious restructuring and insolvency, regulatory and compliance and general corporate matters. His contentious experience includes acting for liquidators in complex, multi-jurisdictional litigation pursuing voidable transactions, breach of statutory and fiduciary duties and other equitable claims and assisting clients with regulatory investigations and enforcement.
Charles also has a significant transactional and advisory practice which includes advising on regulatory issues as they arise as part of deals (including those relating to foreign investment rules) and considering the application of financial regulation to a range of financial products and services, including digital currencies, carbon trading, syndicated debt financings and exchange-traded and over-the-counter derivatives.
