German team advises HanseMerkur Group on €73m real estate financing deal

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised HanseMerkur Group and its Luxembourg-based debt fund (HanseMerkur) on the cross-border (efinancing of the acquisition and development of an office property in Berlin. The office ensemble known as the "Kandinsky-Haus" consists of six building sections with a rentable area of approximately 15,900 square metres and is located in Berlin-Weißensee.
Following the acquisition, which has already been completed, tenant improvements are to be carried out. It is also planned to obtain WiredScore certification for the existing building.
The financing structure allows for the property to be transferred to another real estate special purpose entity within the group, together with the financing.
