Hong Kong office bolsters capital markets practice with hire of Ethan Chen

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has announced the hire of capital markets lawyer Ethan Chen in the firm’s Hong Kong office as a foreign legal consultant and partner*.
Ethan brings over a decade of US and Hong Kong capital markets experience, representing the issuers and underwriters across a broad range of sectors, including TMT, consumer, industrials and real estate. Dual-qualified in New York and the PRC, Ethan advises on initial public offerings (including SPACs) in the US and Hong Kong, other US registered equity and debt offerings and Rule 144A/Regulation S equity and debt offerings, and dual-primary/secondary listings in Hong Kong.
He also has a wealth of experience advising private and public companies, and financial institutions in pre/post-IPO matters involving mergers and acquisitions, financings, corporate structure, option plans and shareholder relationships, SEC compliance and corporate governance matters.
Ethan has an impressive track record and an established reputation as a corporate lawyer. His clients include global investment banks, unicorn startups, tech companies, and leading consumer, industrials and real estate businesses.
In 2022, Ethan was named as a legal leader of tomorrow in LexisNexis’ inaugural “40 under 40”. Prior to joining the firm, Ethan was a partner of a Wall Street law firm, based in its Hong Kong office.
