Biography
Michael Doyle is a public sector lawyer based in Canberra.
Michael has advised and assisted with commercial matters, including complex procurements, contracts and projects, and takes a pragmatic approach to dealing with commercial and legal issues in procurement. Michael has a holistic view of the government procurement lifecycle, and has advised on many aspects of complex contracts and major projects. He has assisted government in all aspects of commercial contracting and procurement including procurement strategy and methodology, navigating government policy, contract design, acquisition, project delivery models and market-testing activities, performance based contracting, interpreting, managing and enforcing contracts, and dispute resolution and commercial settlement arrangements.
Michael has assisted Commonwealth agencies in relation non-transactional matters, including matters relating to statutory inquiries.
Michael has a client-centric and pragmatic approach to his work, and is motivated by assisting his clients to achieve strategic, policy and commercial outcomes efficiently, while managing risk effectively.
He also has a practical understanding of the regulatory frameworks within which the Commonwealth government operates. Michael is regularly involved in preparation, review and analysis of a broad range of documentation for Commonwealth government clients, including briefing material, policy guidance and general advices in relation to disputes and regulatory issues.
