Biography
Joe Lee is an antitrust and competition lawyer based in our Hong Kong office.
Joe advises multinational and Asia-based organisations and companies on competition compliance issues, cartel investigations and multijurisdictional merger filings across various industrial sectors, including aviation, shipping, automotive, chemicals, logistics and infrastructure, hospitality, fast-moving consumer goods, confectionary, information technology, financial services, insurance, public utilities, energies, heavy machinery and real estate and property management. Joe has guided parties in navigating through complex antitrust issues in contractual joint ventures, which typically involve a complex econometrics analysis and engagement with competition authorities across the region.
Joe enjoys wide market recognition, with Legal 500 Asia Pacific’s 2024 Guide recognizing his contribution to our team.
His experience also extends to dispute resolution matters including regulatory investigations and commercial litigation.
Joe is a graduate of the Faculty of Law of the University of Hong Kong and holds a master degree (LLM) in competition law from King’s College London. He was admitted as a solicitor in the High Court of Hong Kong in 2016. He speaks English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
