Norton Rose Fulbright advises HSBC on pre-conditional privatisation of Yashili by China Mengniu Dairy

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright advised HSBC in its capacity as financial adviser to China Mengniu Dairy (2319.HK) in connection with its pre-conditional privatisation of Yashili International (1230.HK) (“Yashili”) by way of scheme of arrangement. The cash consideration for the privatisation and the acquisition of Yashili shares by China Mengniu is in aggregate approximately HKD 2.79 billion. The Norton Rose Fulbright team was led by Head of Hong Kong and corporate and securities partner Psyche Tai, who was supported by partner Rachel Chan and associate Jane Yau.

China Mengniu has been a longstanding client of the Hong Kong corporate and securities team. The team has advised China Mengniu on its IPO in 2004 and on a series of subsequent acquisitions and joint ventures for almost two decades.
