Biography
Martin Gdanski is a banking and finance lawyer based in Paris.
Martin has over 40 years' practice in domestic and international banking and structured finance transactions including transport (rail, shipping and aircraft) finance, acquisition finance and project finance. He is particularly experienced in secured transactions under French law and is responsible for the development and maintenance of our Paris-based knowledge management system, including our precedent bank for French-law security interests and fiduciary arrangements. He is also experienced in secured transactions in sub-Saharan francophone African countries subject to the “OHADA” system of uniform laws. He has written and lectured widely on French law secured transactions, banking regulations and related topics.
Martin began his legal career with a New York legal practice and moved to its Paris office in 1978 before becoming a partner in a large French legal practice in 1988. He joined the Paris practice in 1993.
Martin is admitted to practice in France and New York.
