Biography
Joshua Watts focuses on securities, regulatory and commercial disputes. He also has experience in merger and joint venture litigation, corporate regulatory compliance, white-collar, defamation, torts, real estate disputes, employment-related disputes and corporate governance. Josh has additionally provided hundreds of hours of pro bono legal services to recently released offenders through his affiliation with the Concordance Program aimed at reducing rates of recidivism.

- Defended a registered investment advisor in a regulatory enforcement action relating to the advisor’s public disclosures. The regulator claimed that over $40 million were at issue.
- Assisted in bringing civil raiding claims against competing registered investment advisor.
- Provided a civil liability risk analysis concerning allegations of fraudulent securities misrepresentations and 10b-5 violations relating to representations made in conjunction with private investment placements.
- Assisted in reviewing a multinational joint venture agreement between leading global defense manufacturers relating to the manufacture of experimental US Department of Defense hardware with a special focus on corporate governance and policy compliance relating to federal Foreign Ownership, Control or Influence laws.
