Biography

Andrea is a member of the Intellectual Property Brands group. She focuses her practice on trademark and copyright law and manages multiple intellectual property portfolios for clients across various industries. Andrea advises clients on brand selection and clearance efforts and has extensive experience prosecuting applications before the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and the US Copyright Office. She also handles a broad range of intellectual property-focused transactional matters, including the negotiation of licenses, co-branding agreements, assignments and acquisitions, as well as diligence reviews and troubleshooting intellectual property issues in connection with corporate mergers and acquisitions.

In addition to her IP prosecution and transactions practice, Andrea regularly handles trademark enforcement and policing efforts, trademark and copyright infringement cases and domain name disputes. She strategically manages international brand disputes and represents clients in trademark cancellation and opposition proceedings before the US Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB). She also has experience litigating trademark, unfair competition and false advertising claims under the Lanham Act in federal court and handles domain name disputes before the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the Forum.

Andrea serves on the firm's Associate Hiring Committee and as the Houston Chair of the firm's Women in Norton Rose Fulbright (WiN) Network.
