Dallas lawyer named Fellow of American Board of Trial Advocates

The American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), an invitation-only organization dedicated to promoting the civil jury trial right provided by the Seventh Amendment to the US, has named Norton Rose Fulbright Dallas lawyer Brett C. Govett as a Fellow of its organization. Fellows are selected for their "virtues of civility, integrity and professionalism."

Govett prepares and tries commercial, intellectual property, and tort cases. He is board certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He is a member of the patent bar and is registered to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office.

ABOTA Fellows are judges and lawyers with at least five years of active experience as trial lawyers, tried at least 10 civil jury trials to conclusion and who possess additional litigation experience. Founded in 1958, ABOTA consists of more than 7,600 lawyers, including an equal balance of plaintiff and defense lawyers and judges spread among 96 chapters in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
