Fiorella Ruiz del Campo’s practice focuses on project finance for renewable energy and infrastructure projects in the US and Latin America. Fiorella represents sponsors, concessionaires, commercial lenders and agencies in both local and cross-border project finance transactions, advancing sustainable energy initiatives and essential infrastructure development. - Represented a global renewable energy company in the tax equity financing of the 210 MW(AC) solar electric generating facility Stillhouse Solar project, located in Bell County, Texas.
- Advised commodity trading firms on efforts to expand into Panama, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, and Ecuador.
- Advised the US trading affiliate of Latin American energy company on transactions under New York law.
- Advised an international geothermal and renewable energy company in a tax credit transfer related to production tax credits in connection to two geothermal projects located in Imperial Country, California
- Advised a Dutch development financial institution and French development financial institution in a co-financing for a total amount of US$50 million to a Guatemalan bank to finance green loans and small businesses in Guatemala.
- Advised an international financial institution that provides advisory and other services to developing countries and a Japanese bilateral agency in a co-financing for total amount of US$175 million to Guatemala's main electricity distribution company for the Project for Rural Electrification and Distribution Network Resiliency in Guatemala.
- Advised a Canadian development bank in the financing of US$40 million to LAAD to support sustainable agriculture in Latin America and the Caribbean.
- Advised global investment bank and a national Ecuadorian bank in an international project financing in the form of a loan of US$48 million for the development of a warehouse facility in Ecuador.
- Advised the largest national bank in Peru in the financing for US$27 million for the development and construction of a real state project to be developed in a area of 450,403 m2 in Peru.*
- Advised a Peruvian real state developer in a US$113 million financing for the development and construction of a mall in Peru. *
- Advised a Peruvian airport concessionaire in financing for US$114 million granted by Banco de Crédito del Perú and structured by Credicorp Capital for the maintenance and development in 11 airports in the north of Peru. *
- Advised a Peruvian airport concessionaire in financing for PEN 37.9 million granted by Banco BBVA Peru to carry out the Periodic Maintenance Program of 12 airports of the First Group of Regional Airports to carry out the Periodic Maintenance Program of 12 airports of the First Group of Regional Airports. *
- Advised a Peruvian road concessionaire in re-profiling on debt with a syndicate of domestic and foreign banks for the development, construction, and maintenance of a highway in the Peruvian Andes. *
- Advised a Peruvian airport concessionaire in the US$30.4 million financing granted by BBVA Banco Continental to carry out the Equipment Plan for 12 airports of the First Group of Regional Airports. *
- Advised a Peruvian railroad concessionaire in a US$316 million financing for the expansion of the infrastructure and services of Line 1 of the Lima Metro, granted by the Japanese institutions Mizuho Bank and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking, which the government of Peru secured through the securitization of the concessionaire's payment obligations. *
- Advised a Peruvian airport concessionaire in the financing of up to US$40 million granted by BBVA Banco Continental to finance the investments required for the regular maintenance plan of 12 airports part of the First Group of Regional Airports of Peru. *
- Advised Colombian banks and a development bank in the negotiations and structuring of Colombian trust agreements in the Eastern Perimetral Project of Bogotá within the financing of a USD 452 million project finance. This project was the first financing in the 4G Colombian PPP infrastructure program that served as based structure model for the following 4G project financings. *
