Biography
Reggie Wilson is a partner located in the Houston and San Antonio offices in the public law practice group, where he principally acts as bond counsel, disclosure counsel, underwriters' counsel, and trustee counsel in a variety of transactions involving municipal governments, including cities, counties, water districts, school districts, agencies, healthcare systems, universities, colleges, industrial and housing development corporations, management districts, TIRZs and non-profit corporations. His experience includes ad valorem tax financings, Texas Water Development Board financings, tax increment financings, utility revenue financings, auction and variable rate financings, interest rate swap and forward purchase agreements, lease financings, private placements, and taxable financings.
He also serves as general counsel to municipal utility districts, water control and improvement districts, fresh water supply districts, water districts and management districts throughout the State of Texas. In his role as general counsel, he conducts meetings, provides administrative duties, prepares and files regulatory filings, assists with compliance of open meeting laws, handles record management and responses/guidance under the Public Information Act, reviews conflicts of interest, prepares and reviews contracts/agreements, conducts elections, prepares debt issuances, advises on tax proceedings, prepares rate orders, prepares legislative summaries, and handles other tasks as requested by boards of directors.
