Cybersecurity incidents continue to be a top-of-mind concerns for board directors across Canada and globally. These incidents are impacting organizations across all industries and geographies. Combined with an increasingly complex legal and regulatory landscape, it is more important than ever for board members to be aware of their responsibilities in managing cyber risks and effectively responding to cybersecurity incidents. We will discuss how boards, as part of their oversight role, should evaluate cyber risks, allocate appropriate resources and measures they should consider to mitigate the impact of a material cybersecurity incident.
