Biography

Cédric Danois is a private investment funds lawyer based in Luxembourg.

Cedric is specialised in private funds formation and secondaries. He advises fund managers on the structuring and formation of Luxembourg regulated and unregulated alternative investment structures including fund-of-one and separately managed accounts. Cédric has extensive experience in a wide range of investment strategies including private equity, venture capital, real estate, infrastructure, credit, impact and LP-led/GP-led secondaries. He also advises investors (institutional investors, DFIs, sovereign funds and supranational entities) on prospective investments.

Cedric also advises fund managers on ESG regulations and ESG-related risk management. He frequently advises on ESG aspects in the context of fund formation and regulator on-site/off-site inspections. He has an in-depth knowledge of ESG law regimes including the SFDR and the EU Taxonomy Regulation.

He is member of several ESG working groups in Luxembourg and European fund industry associations and regularly publishes articles and holds presentations on ESG and sustainable finance.

Prior to joining the firm, Cedric worked for leading international law firms and has been seconded to the world’s largest alternative fund manager.
