Biography
Alysha has experience of acting on both contentious and non-contentious regulatory and transactional environmental matters in the infrastructure, trade, energy and food sectors. In addition to acting on environmental permitting and contaminated land matters, Alysha has a keen interest in the ESG-space and is advising on developments integrating cutting-edge technology in the net zero transition.
Alysha also has experience of advising a range of international transport, financial services, healthcare and charitable clients on health and safety matters and product safety and liability issues. Alysha's work focuses on the interpretation and application of the Health and Safety at Work Etc. Act 1974, Building Safety Act 2022, General Product Safety Regulations 2005 and related legislation.
Alysha's planning practice includes acting for local authorities, developers and investors. Alysha has advised on strategic reviews for planning applications, objections to compulsory purchase orders and planning appeal casework. Alysha also provides planning support on the preparation of due diligence reports, reports on title and certificates of title.

- A major project participant on the environmental permitting regime, UK ETS, EU ETS in relation to the development of the NEP and NZT projects, one of the UK's first and largest carbon capture and storage projects
- An American green energy developer on legislation relating to renewable energy, renewable fuels of non-biological origin and renewable transport fuels
- Kerry Group plc on the environmental aspects of the sale of its European and North American sweet ingredients business to Advent International's portfolio company IRCA, for a consideration of €500m

Advising:
- BMW on product safety requirements relating to the braking systems, electrical equipment, radio equipment, airbags, seatbelts and lighting of its cars and motorcycles
- Canadian financial services clients on new and prospective health and safety legislation and case law
- A Canadian medical technology developer on the supply of its blood gas control system to a higher education institution
- Women and Children First on a pro bono basis on the product safety and liability aspects of the manufacturing, supply and distribution of an educational toy in Ghana
Planning
Advising:
- On the promotion of various planning applications for mixed-use developments in London incorporating industrial, commercial and residential floor space
- A major UK rail freight undertaker on an objection and settlement agreement relating to the Oxford flood alleviation scheme compulsory purchase order
- RWE, the UK's largest power generator and a leading renewables generator, on the planning aspects of the due diligence report and sale and purchase agreement for its acquisition of JBM Solar, one of the UK's largest independent solar and co-located battery developers
- Civitas Investment Management Limited on the planning aspects of the report on title for its £200m investment to acquire specialist care properties from CareTech
