Biography
Thomas Hubbard is a dispute resolution and investigations lawyer based in London.
He advises corporates and individuals on a wide range of matters including civil and criminal aspects of bribery and corruption, money laundering and fraud. Thomas has represented individual and corporate clients in cases brought by the UK Serious Fraud Office, Financial Conduct Authority, HM Revenue & Customs and the UK Crown Prosecution Service.
Thomas has worked on cross-border criminal investigations including advising on extradition and mutual legal assistance issues involving a wide range of foreign jurisdictions. He also advises clients on responses to information requests made under a wide range of powers from UK and foreign authorities.
He regularly advises clients on anti-money laundering liabilities and reporting obligations under the UK Proceeds of Crime Act as well as multijurisdictional cannabis-related money laundering issues.
Thomas also advises companies on commercial litigation and arbitration involving contractual and shareholder disputes. He has significant experience of high-value UK High Court litigation and international arbitration across a broad range of corporate and banking disputes, including civil fraud, M&A disputes and shareholder claims.
