Biography
Matt Hacking is a mining, energy and infrastructure lawyer based in the firm's London office.
He focuses on advising clients in the development and financing of large-scale projects across a range of industry sectors and in a number of jurisdictions. He has extensive experience advising mining companies across the globe on the structuring of their procurement and project execution strategies and he has significant transport infrastructure experience.
He is very well versed in the drafting and negotiation of the full spectrum of project documents, including concession agreements, design and build / construction contracts, operation and maintenance agreements, equipment supply contracts, services contracts, consultant appointments, guarantees, performance bonds and other ancillary project documentation.
He holds B.COM (PPE) and LLB degrees from the University of Cape Town.
