Session 1: EU’s digital strategy – new legislation on the way: What tech businesses need to do

With a remarkable amount of new legislation on the way, the EU has made clear its intention to lead the way on regulating key aspects of the technology sector – both in terms of market structure and in what technology businesses can and cannot do. A Digital Governance Act, Digital Services Act, Digital Markets Act, Data Act, Data Governance Act and an AI Act are all under consideration. What will these initiatives mean for tech businesses and users of technology within Europe and beyond?  What will they need to do to comply, what are the risks of non-compliance and do they create opportunities for tech businesses?
