Biography
Erica Cook advises clients on technology transactions, privacy and data security and incident response matters across various industries, including banking, financial services, consumer products, healthcare, life sciences, manufacturing, technology and telecommunications. She assists clients in developing compliance strategies for international, federal and state data privacy and security laws, such as GDPR, HIPAA/HITECH, GLBA, FCRA, COPPA and CCPA.
Erica also guides clients in assessing information security risks, managing cybersecurity incidents and handling cross-border regulatory investigations. She is skilled in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements and policies related to the use, sale and licensing of enterprise-level and consumer-facing technology, as well as the security and processing of personal and business-sensitive information.

She also served as in-house counsel for a global consulting firm, focusing on commercial transactions and data privacy issues in the healthcare and life sciences industries. Additionally, Erica completed a six-month secondment with a Fortune 500 company, providing counsel on the sales and marketing of technology-based products and professional services.
