Matt Carpenter is a banking lawyer based in Dubai with a particular emphasis on project finance.

He advises regional and international financial institutions, corporations and governments on a range of banking matters, including both conventional lending facilities and Islamic finance. His primary focus is the project financing of green field projects, but also has experience in the project development and construction of energy, utilities and infrastructure projects. Matt has worked on multiple project financings across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Prior to joining Norton Rose Fulbright, Matt worked at a magic circle law firm in its London and Dubai offices advising sponsors, borrowers and financiers on a broad range of projects in the energy, utilities and infrastructure sectors.
