Biography
Prashant Watchmaker has been a business lawyer for more than 25 years, including serving as general counsel and corporate secretary for a Toronto Stock Exchange- and NASDAQ-listed Canadian public technology company for more than 15 years. Prashant brings a pragmatic, client-focused perspective to his legal work at Norton Rose Fulbright.
Prashant has broad experience advising on significant commercial agreements across a variety of industries, including complex intellectual property and technology licensing agreements, responses to government RFPs and major customer and supplier contracts containing material legal issues. Prashant’s practice has also included providing trusted legal advice to corporate directors relating to public debt and equity offerings, multi-national mergers and acquisitions for buyers and sellers, and corporate governance and continuous disclosure matters.
Previously, Prashant was a business lawyer at an Ottawa law firm for close to a decade, where he focused on corporate and securities law, mergers and acquisitions and tax litigation.
