Biography
Brianna Mayes is an associate practising in our business law group in Toronto. She is developing a broad practice in corporate and commercial law, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, corporate finance and securities, and general corporate matters. Brianna has experience advising businesses ranging from start-ups to public companies.
Prior to joining us, Brianna practised corporate and commercial law at a full-service law firm in Ottawa.

Briana has acted in the following matters:
- Represented CURO Group (a NYSE-listed consumer finance company) in connection with its sale of Flexiti Financial to Questrade Financial Group for net proceeds of approximately C$66 million
- Advised RBC Capital Markets, CIBC Capital Markets and Desjardins Capital Markets, as joint bookrunners on behalf of a syndicate of underwriters, on Fiera Capital's bought deal public offering of C$65 million 8.25% senior subordinated unsecured debentures
- Represented Enwave Windsor Holdings LP in connection with its acquisition from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation of certain thermal and electrical assets located at the Windsor Energy Centre
- Represented Newport Private Wealth Inc., one of Canada’s largest private wealth management firms, on its acquisition by NFP
