Byron is a director and dispute resolution lawyer based in Johannesburg. He is a commercial litigator with an emphasis on insurance law. Byron also has extensive experience in the passenger rail transportation sector and advises carriers in relation to a wide range of matters nationally including safety and security related compliance issues, the defence of personal injury claims, large scale rail accidents, commercial disputes and recoveries.

In addition to his expertise in the rail transportation sector Byron advises our Insurance clients on policy interpretation and policy response, subrogated recoveries and defences and litigious disputes with policyholders.

He was also again listed in Best Lawyers in South Africa 2024 for his expertise in Insurance law. 

Byron has represented clients in matters in the Constitutional Court, Supreme Court of Appeal, Full Benches of the Gauteng High Courts and Western Cape High Court as well as in Arbitration and Mediation proceedings.
