Destieny Burton
Biography
Destieny Burton is developing a broad practice in corporate and commercial law, including mergers and acquisitions, regulatory risk management, securities and corporate governance.
Destieny joined us as a summer student in 2021 and returned to complete her articles in 2022 and 2023. During her articling term, Destieny completed a secondment at Metrolinx, where she assisted with a variety of contractual and regulatory matters.
While in law school, Destieny served as VP finance for the Black Law Students' Association, University of Ottawa Chapter and a volunteer at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law's Refugee Sponsorship Support Program. Prior to law school, Destieny acquired practical experience while working within early-stage technology ventures, gaining valuable insights into the world of innovation and entrepreneurship.
